Photolog

My random life, infront of the lens.

Speak to anyone...

One more for my 85mm series.

I pride myself in the fact that I can speak to almost anyone (pending language barriers). Not many people have the ability to walk up to a total stranger and strike up a conversation. Even less may approach this man, and have the balls to ask to take a photo.

A lot of street photography is done without the knowledge that the subject is being photographed. They say a photo is worth 1000 words, but why not get a few of those words from the person your making an image of.

Reach out, say hello, and make a new acquaintance. Maybe the next person you talk to will become the next friend
you make.

85mm...

The 85mm is normally designated as a portrait lens. Great for bokeh and adds compression to the background to separate the subject. This will be shown in future photos.

Today's photo shows some versatility, as this was shot from across a street. My 85mm is used more for a street photography lens that allows me to be a little further away from my subject.

As you can see I still getting the background to be a little out of focus, and some slight compression. The warm light reflecting off the building adds to the photo drawing you on more.

Keep checking back for more photos, and please feel free to comment, like, and share!

Jon.
